Beyond their work as a freelance artist, Alex is also an accomplished communications, programming, and media specialist. Alongside receiving their BA in Communication and Publishing in 2025 from Simon Fraser University, they have experience working with podcasting, journalism, events, social media and content creation, and more, primarily in arts, culture, and advocacy.
During their time at SFU VOCE, Alex was the Communications and Podcasting Specialist, where they assisted in recording, editing, promoting, and archiving the office’s podcast, Below the Radar. 
Alex was a member of The Future Perfect Project’s Podcasting Cohort, and was a composer, co-producer, and cohost of the first season of the organization’s podcast, I’m Feeling Queer Today. 
Alex was on the creative team for We Were Here, We Were Queer, a literary arts zine created to showcase the work of queer SFU and FIC students, 
Alex co-created Myths Busted BC with a couple of fellow Communication majors as a social media campaign against anti-queer/anti-SOGI rhetoric in Canada.
