Beyond their work as a freelance artist, Alex is also an accomplished communications specialist, with experience in podcasting, journalism, events, social media and content creation, and more.
During their time at SFU VOCE, Alex was the Communications and Podcasting Specialist, where they assisted in recording, editing, promoting, and archiving the office’s podcast, Below the Radar. 
Alex was a member of The Future Perfect Project’s Podcasting Cohort, and was a composer, co-producer, and cohost of the first season of the organization’s podcast, I’m Feeling Queer Today. 
Alex was on the creative team for We Were Here, We Were Queer, a literary arts zine created to showcase the work of queer SFU and FIC students, 
Alex was the Special Projects Worker at posAbilities in 2021, and worked in social media, content creation, and events. 
Alex co-created Myths Busted BC with a couple of fellow Communication majors as a social media campaign against anti-queer/anti-SOGI rhetoric in Canada.
